Swallows top of the log


It’s been very interesting mid-week of PSL action that saw youthful Ajax Cape Town side league champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns haven’t had the best starts to the season and losing to Ajax Cape Town might have put little bit of pressure on coach Pitso Mosimane. Next up for Sundowns will be against on form Moroka Swallows who won they second consecutive game of the season again AmaZulu.
Swallows were expected by many to be fighting relegation for the up and coming season but in the early stage the Dude birds have show that they can play.
Orlando Pirates is another team facing a challenge in t early stages of the season. Pirates registered they first point of the season when they played to 2-2 against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs have continued the good run to the season with 2-1 win over Black Aces. It was game full of action with both sides playing attacking football. Chiefs are second on the log levelled on points with Swallows.
Free State start lost the second league game when they went 2-1 down against Platinum Stars. Kadwa Mnagonyama broke Polokwane City heart after so scored a late gaol to help Maritzburg United beat Polokwane City 2-1.
Now the league will take a break until next week Tuesday due to Cup competition this weekend.
