Ajax Cape Town

Ajax Cape Town will be looking to continue with they fine form, this is after they were two goals down against Platinum Stars and come back to win the game 3-2.

Speaking to KickOff.com George Maluleka praised the team effort for that comeback against Stars on Wednesday night.

“We knew the first game was important and we needed to get a win since we were playing at home. We kept putting the pressure on then even thought we were ten men.”

This has been Ajax Cape Town fourth straight win and has collected twelve points out of fifteen points. The Urban Warriors are on sixth place and level on points with Orlando Pirates on twenty-seven points.

Next Ajax will travel to Durban to face Maritzburg United at Harry Gwala stadium on Sunday. The Cape side are normally not good travelers but last time they played in KwaZulu Natal was against Golden Arrows and they won the game by a goal to nil.

Maluleka says that the win against Platinum Stars has lifted the team’s spirit.

“This will be a difficult game but we are going to the play our normal game and hopefully we'll continue with our winning streak”
