Stekelenburg: We needed this.

A relief Ajax Cape Town coach Maarten Stekelenburg was happy to get that winning feeling back after Ajax hasn’t won a game in they last four league games.

Ajax Cape Town is now on 18 points and is currently seventh on the long. Stekelenburg says that his team needed this win.

“We needed this as a group you feel that, as a coach you feel that we needed a result like this. We said already couple of weeks that we don’t get that results we wanted.

“Hopefully this results is what they needed to go into next games and hopefully this is a good start,” Stekelenburg says. 

On there side coach Clinton Larsen wasn’t happy with his side below path performance and didn't want to blame the heat for his side poor game.

“I don’t want to blame the heat but it seemed to affect us more then it did to them, so that one factor. Also I think compare to other games we’ve played it was a very below path performance from our boys.”

"Away we have been very poor this season just getting fourth points , so now we just have to look forward to our next games at home and try to get something out from it ,” adds Larsen.
