Samuel Eto'o Answers critic's

Newly Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o admits his move to Russia was influenced by the money, but insists that anyone would have made the same decision. This what he told the goal.com team

The Cameroon international became the world's highest-paid footballer in August, penning a three-year deal worth 10 million euros per year, and the lucrative nature of the contract is something Eto'o is not ashamed of.

"For me the best coach of all time is Luis Aragones, while Jose Mourinho is the best at the moment. I learned a lot from Aragones, both as a player and as a person," he concluded.


Another African player who was critics for making a move because of money was Asamoah Gyan. When he signed for Al-Ain from the UAE, Sunderland coach Steve Bruce saw this as a  financial gain but the team from UAE denied the climes.
