AjaxCT launch “Operation Block 116”

Ajax Cape Town have launched  “Operation Block 116” for all local football fans . 

“Operation Block 116” is a bold initiative by Ajax Cape Town to encourage local fans to support local football at the Cape Town Stadium. The initiative is set to kicks-off this Friday evening when Ajax Cape Town play host to Amazulu at the Cape Town Stadium, at 20h00.

Many Ajax Cape Town fan will be familiar with Block 116, it’s the spectator seating situated on the halfway line opposite the players tunnel at the Cape Town Stadium that’s gives local football fanatics an close-up view of the action.

Speaking to the club official website Ajax Cape Town PRO Shooz Mekuto shared bit of light about the idea.

“By creating a specific area for Ajax Cape Town fans in Block 116, we hope that they will be encouraged to bring their friends and families to the game as they will be seated together with the other Urban Warriors creating a splash of Red and White in the Stadium.

In order to enjoy the Ajax Cape Town offer and be seated in Block 116, Ajax Cape Town fans have to purchase an Ajax Cape Town flag at the Ajax Fan Store, at Ikamva for R40 and they will receive a complimentary ticket in Block 116 for every flag purchased.

We have further incentivised fans who are seated in this area with a fan competition. Lucky fans who find an Ajax Cape Town sticker under their seat in Block 116 will win a prize that can be claimed at the Ajax Cape Town Fan Kiosk at the Stadium on match day.
