Maritzburg United sign new players
Maritzburg United have bolstered their
squad ahead of the second round of the Premier Soccer League with the signings
of Namibian duo, Goalkeeper Virgil Vries and Midfielder Heinrich Isaacks
together with the recall of youngster Ayanda Ndlovu who was on loan at first
division outfit Sivutsa Stars and Dillon Sheppard from Golden Arrows
The addition of the four players is a
welcome boost for Ernst Middendorp’s team who have had a great first half to
the 2012 / 2013 season, which sees the team occupy 5th position on the League
table.
“With the schedule after the African Cup of
Nations being really demanding and with the possibility of suspensions and
injuries we looked to reinforce the squad to enable the coach to have enough
depth going into the second round of the League campaign,” Commercial Manager
Younus Kadodia, tell the club official website.
The Team of Choice resumes their PSL
campaign with a local derby against Amazulu on the 12th of February at the
Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
