AmaZulu part way with Josef Lekata
AmaZulu have parted ways with striker, Josef Lekata after the 25 year
old’s contract was terminated with immediate effect on 18 January 2013,
Friday afternoon.
General Manager, Peter O’Connor confirmed the new developments in the former FC Cape Town man’s career.
“Josef approached the club with the request to terminate his contract with immediate effect and we agreed to it.
“We wish him well in his career,” said O’Connor.
Lekata who has also played for Black Leopards and Bay United FC has
had limited game time with Usuthu this season since joining the KZN side
towards the end of the 2011/12 season.
Lekata’s departure is the second in the 1932 old club since the
transfer window opened. Defender, Prince Hlela joined Supersport United
on a six month loan deal last week. Rightwing youngster, Donovan
Thompson is currently trialing at NFD side, Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Midfielder, Njabulo Manqana is coach, Craig Rosslee’s only signing to date.
