Stekelenburg: The team is looking hungry

Ajax Cape Town coach Maarten Stekelenburg is hoping for better performers from his players then what they had in the first round of fixtures in the PSL, when they lost 4-0 to Amazulu.

“ The team is looking hungry, they are also looking to progress to the next round of the Nedbank Cup and also looking to prove a point.”

The team is set to welcome back main striker Terror Fanteni back to the team, this is after the player was asked by the coach to work on getting his fitness back after he come back unfit during the long January break.

Maarten Stekelenburg is very happy with the progress Fanteni has made since been asked to train on his own by the coach.

“Terror has worked very hard and showed that he wants to be part of the team and that he want to archive things with the team.”

“ He (Terror Fanteni) is fit and sharp, however he needs game time so he will travel with the squad to Durban ahead of the Nedbank Cup fixture. We are playing four games in the next ten days and his return to the squad enhances our options up-front.”

The Urban Warriors will be looking into the good run of form that they had in the last few games in Durban when the have beaten Golden Arrows and lately Maritzburg United to inspire them for a victory in the first round of the Nedbank Cup.
