Downs sign Mukuka Mulenga
Mamelodi Sundowns have bagged Zambian rising star Mukuka Mulenga on a three year deal from Power Dynamos.
At only 20 years old, the Zambian ace has has already shown what he is made of, not only as part of the Zambian National team that lifted the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in 2012, but also in the local league
Mulenga was named the Zambian Footballer Of The Year in the past season for his sterling performances for both country and team. He followed that swoop of personal accolades with a fine performance in the 2013 COSAFA Cup, where he was eventually voted the Player of the Tournament after he helped Chipolopolo lift the cup on home soil.
Both Sundowns and Power Dyanamos had long agreed on the transfer for the tricky midfielder but a deal with the player was only reached today. Sundowns technical team will be very pleased with the acqisition of the player as there had been much competition for his signature, both in South Africa and overseas.
He joins an array of stars that will make Sundowns arguably the most formidable side in the Premier Soccer League, giving coach Pitso Mosimane the kind of options that coaches can only dream of.
