Stars sign Joshua Sauls
Platinum Stars have completed the signing of striker Joshua Sauls on a three-year contract.
The
25-year-old arrives from newly-promoted Chippa United having been one
of the leading marksmen for the Cape Town club in their promotion push
last season.
He had joined Chippa midway through the season from Gauteng side FC
AK, and managed to net 12 goals in the campaign to finish behind Chippa
teammate Petrus Ngebo (14 goals) in the National First Division
goalscoring stakes.
Sauls will add to the attacking options of Dikwena, which already
includes Henrico Botes,
Themba Ntumba, Thabani Mthembu and Patrick
Malokase.
Sauls is the sixth signing made by Stars in this transfer window and
follows hot on the heals of the capture of experienced Bafana Bafana
international Benson Mhlongo on Tuesday.
Others to have arrived include national Under-20 star Mthembu (Young
Mates), Botswana international winger Mogakolodi Ngele (Township
Rollers, Botswana), and midfielders
Bongani Nyathi (Free State Stars)
and Benson Mhlongo (Orlando Pirates).
Patrick Malokase has also been signed on a permanent basis from
Pirates after a successful six-month loan in the second half of last
season.
