Juma joins City

Cape Town City have announced the signing of Kenyan international striker Masoud Juma

The 21-year-old striker was signed from Kariobangi Sharks for undisclosed amount.

Juma is expected to get his work permit this week and join his teammates next Monday to begin preparing for the second half of the season domestic and take part in Cape Town City’s CAF campaigns.

Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy believes that Masoud Juma will become prolific striker as soon as he adapts and settle in.

"At just 21, Juma has proven to be Africa's most prolific goalscorer. His quality is evident, as is the interest for him in Europe. He is still young and needs to be nurtured. But once he adapts and settles in, he has all the makings of a lethal out and out nine, McCarthy told City’s official twitter team.

McCathy also added: "We've had to rely on our possessional dominance to win games. Most of our goals come from midfielders. We're building a team for the future so it's nice to start putting.”

City are currently in second place four points behind long leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, will be traveling to Platinum Stars on Saturday evening.
