Ajax CT Clothing Donation Drive at Baphumelela

In celebration of 15 Years since their unveiling, Ajax Cape Town is launching"15 Days of AjaxCT Awareness" for the month of February 2014.

Ajax Cape Town was launched in January 1999 and since their establishment the club has set the standard on and off the football field.

Since the establishment of Ajax Cape Town the club’s policy of "No Youth No Future" has paid dividends with a number of their players making their way to Europe.

The Ajax Youth Academy made its mark by producing more than 110 players at an average of seven players a year to the ranks of professional football in South Africa.

Off the field, Ajax Cape Town is renowned for the work that they do in their local community via the Ajax Cape Town Community Scheme using soccer as a vehicle to empower our youth with knowledge of the
many opportunities available to them in sport,

This project is activated across the Cape Flats and Township areas even as far as the Cape Winelands, to children regardless of race, gender, social status or disability.

The Ajax Cape Town Community Scheme project is facilitated through structured programmes in a safe, fun, learning environment and has been implemented in more than 140 schools across the Western Cape reaching
more than 8 000 children.

The project involves the Kick ‘n Learn project and the Urban Soccer Project. While the Kick ‘n Learn Project is primary school based, the Urban Soccer Project is community based.

The Ajax Cape Town CSI 15 Days of Ajax Awareness continues with a clothing donation drive at Baphumelela, Khayelitsha on Wednesday 05 Mar from 13h00.
