Issa Sarr sign with Platinum Stars

Platinum Stars are delighted to announce that a deal to sign Senegal international midfielder Issa Sarr was completed late on Wednesday night. 

The 22-year-old joins on a two-year contract, with the option for a further season, and will add to the midfielder strength of Dikwena. 

“We are very excited that the deal has eventually been concluded, we regard him as a big signing for this club,” Stars Football Manager Senzo Mazingiza said. 

Sarr was a star with local Senegalese sides ASC Diaraf and Pikine before joining Chippa United in the PSL in January 2013. 

He made an immediate impression and was courted by a number to top South African sides before deciding to make Dikwena his new home. 

He has experience of playing in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup competitions. 

Sarr is the sixth new signing made by Platinum Stars in this transfer window, joining Zimbabwean striker Takesure Chinyama, midfielders Vincent Khumalo, Mahlatsi Makudubela and Mduduzi Nyanda, and utility player Sibusiso Hadebe.
