McCarthy: Arrows not as good as Downs
By Christopher Maqashu:
Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy is hoping that his side
can bounce back from Sundays’ Nedbank Cup Quarterfinal exit at the hands of
Mamelodi Sundowns.
City went down 2-1 against the side of Chloorkop.
The Citizens will have to quickly switch focus on the League
when they host Golden Arrows at the Cape Town Stadium this is according to
McCarthy.
The former Bafana Bafana international strongly believes the
game against Arrows will be completely different to the one they face against
Sundowns.
“We got to switch on back quickly, switch our focus as
Golden Arrows in coming,” He said.
“We are looking to take this game (against Sundowns in the
Nedbank Cup) performance into Wednesday because I don’t think Golden Arrows
will be good as Sundowns.
“If we play like this, we stand a chance and chance for us
to get back to winning way again.”
City currently finding themselves in sixth place on the log
table with 34 points and a win will further strengthen they place inside the
top eight position come end of the season.
