Cale tip Ubuntu to go all the way
By Christopher Maqashu:
Ubuntu Cape Town midfielder Franklin Cale believes that the
National First Division side has the capabilities to go all the way in the
Nedbank Cup this year.
The Cape side has been the surprise team in this year’s competition
beating PSL side such as Polokwane City and AmaZulu on their way to the quarterfinal.
Despite the good run former Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi
Sundowns players feel that Free State Star are more experience team but is
confident his side are up for the challenge.
“Free State Star have been in the PSL for so many years and
they have experience in this competition but I think the boys are very excited
to play,” he told TalkDiski.
“I think if we can put our mind to it than we could go far
in this competition maybe reach the final.”
The National First Division side have impressed in front of
goal in the Nedbank Cup, scoring six goals in the in previous games against
Usuthu as well as Raise and Shine.
Cale feels that’s been the difference to their performance
compare to the League where they find themselves second from bottom.
“From the start of the League we didn’t take our chances
when it comes to scoring goals but I mean in the Nedbank Cup we have been scoring
goals and that’s been our strength right now,” he said.
Ubuntu Cape Town will lock heads with Free State Stars at the
Athlone Stadium on Saturday Afternoon kick-off at 15:30.
Tickets are sold at TicketPro outlets throughout the
country. The outlets includes CNA, Edgars, Jet and Postnet. Ticket prices vary
from R40 to R60 for the quarterfinal fixtures.
