Nthethe wins big at Celtic players awards

 
Captain Thabo Nthethe was on Sunday evening named the Player of the Season at the annual Bloemfontein Celtic/MTN Player Awards held at Ilanga Estate. 

Nthethe has been in sparkling form for Celtic this season and the trophy caps off a brilliant week for the cool as ice defender. Was Nthethe awarded the player of the Year Award an I-pad (from Itec) and R60 000.

  

Two other major winners on the night were Player’s Player of the Season John Aruwah who pocketed a hefty R45 000 while Limbikani Mzava picked up the Young Player of the Season Award and earned R20 000. 

Other winners of the night were Celtic Ladies Player of the year Masowele Mendu Mohapi, who picked up a cool R5000 handed over by coach and team manager Edwin Lenste. Sipho Nyafuza won the Youth Development Player of the Season, picking up R5000 and the award handed out by Molefi Nsteki. 

The Chairman’s Appreciation Award went to three Celtic stalwarts in Public Relations officer Sello Nduna, Dr Nicholas Theron and Tashambi Mothibedi for dedicated service and 15 years at the club. 

Celtic coach Clinton Larsen has also been named as one of the three nominees for the PSL Coach of the Year for this season.
