Jan Pruijn stays at Ajax for now.

Jan Pruijn will continue to take charge of the team ahead of their fixtures against Free State Stars and Black Leopards on

Wednesday and Sunday respectively,” said George Comitis, the Ajax CEO at a pre-match press conference on Monday at Ikamva. He continued, “For the sake of continuity and to ensure the stability of the club and the team; the status quo remains.

Jan Pruijn seems to be leading the race to become the Head Coach of Ajax Cape Town after a delegation of Ajax players headed by club captain Nazeer Allie met with the clubs management to endorse his candidacy.

He has the support of all the people around him, especially the players. Pruijn has been in charge of the team since the departure of Maarten Stekelenburg, taking charge since the game against Amazulu.

He has managed to win four points in the last two league games and we have noticed a turnaround in the commitment from the players both at training and during matches.”
