AmaTuks new jersey
Pretoria – Thursday 25 July 2013: Today, the University of Pretoria F.C popularly known as
AmaTuks, unveiled their 2013/2014 season playing jersey, supplements sponsor and the new
signings at an official launch held at the Hatfield Square, Pretoria.
AmaTuks have had a long standing relationship with Umbro South Africa.
The sport brand has
been the Club’s technical sponsor for four (4) years running.
Today Umbro South Africa announced the extension of their relationship with the club for
another two (2) years.
32Gi has also come on board as the team’s nutrition and recovery supplement sponsor starting
in the new season.
In his welcome speech, the AmaTuks CEO Dr Rendani Mulaudzi formally announced AmaTuks’
relationship with the two brands by stating:
“We are humbled as well as gratified as Umbro formally become our technical sponsor as from
the beginning of the 2013/14. This relationship, already four years old, is entering a new era
where the stakes are much higher than ever before.”
“We also would like to thank our newest partner, 32Gi who are becoming AmaTuks’
supplements sponsor for the next couple of seasons.”
With AmaTuks finishing eighth (8th) on the 2012/2013 PSL Log with forty (40) points, doors are
beginning to open for partnerships that were announced today.
On the technical side, Coach Steve Barker and his team have worked very hard to rope in eight
(8) new players to the AmaTuks camp ahead of the new season.
The following are the new
players signed:
Fikru Lamesse Teferra from Free State Stars, Grant Kekana from SuperSport United, Siphelele
Luthuli promoted from the TuksFootball Academy, Lucky Mathosi from Rustenburg Sea
Robbers in the Vodacom League, Obadiah Tarumbwa from Safopora in the Kenyan Premier
League, Mandlenkosi Tsengwa from Thanda Royal Zulu, Buhle Mkhwanazi and Siyabonga
Ngubane both from Mamelodi Sundowns.
