PSL DC findings

The following case will be heard by the Premier Soccer League DC on 12 April 2012:
Moroka Swallows and Gordon Igesund: Charged with club official misbehavior and unsporting behavior.

It is alleged that after the final whistle was blown in their PSL league match against Amazulu at Dobsonville Stadium on 17 March 2012, Igesund charged towards the match officials in an aggressive manner and made accusations against them.

It is the League’s case that, both his behaviour and utterances are acts of misconduct in terms of Rules 53.2.5.6, 52.2.5.7 and 53.2.5.9 of the National Soccer League Rules.

The DC furthers alleges that Igesund’s behavior (as stated above) incited the supporters/spectators to misbehave by shouting insults and using abusive language towards the match officials as they entered the tunnel, which behavior is a misconduct in terms of Rule 53 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code therefore misconduct in terms of Rule 53.1 4 of the National Soccer League Rules.

The following two cases were also scheduled to be heard by the DC on 12 April 2012 but the clubs, in terms of the National Soccer League Rules, have already pleaded guilty and will pay/have already paid admission of guilt fine:

Orlando Pirates: Charged with contravention of Rule 10.1 and failure to comply with the Kit Manual.
In their match against Mamelodi Sundowns on 20 March 2012 at Loftus Stadium, Pirates players were not in the change room sixty (60) minutes before kick-off time (which was 19h30) and only arrived at the change room at 18h40.

Black Leopards: Charged with failure to comply with the Media Manual. It is alleged that in their match against Platinum Stars FC on 18 March 2012 at Giyani Stadium, Leopards acted in contravention of Schedule C of the Media Manual which is incorporated in the League’s Compliance Manual in that they failed to submit the provisional team sheet at the match meeting.
