Ajax with key players

Ajax Cape Town will be travel to Sinaba Stadium to face Jomo Cosmos without they regular players such Thembinkosi Fanteni, Matthew Booth and Granwald Scott who were suspend in they last game against AmaZulu.

The Urban Warriors captain Granwald Scott is hopeful that the team will come back with a positive result without the regular players.

“I stay hopeful that my team will do well against Cosmos. I believe for us to play Cosmos with out four or five regular players it will give other players a chance to play.”

Ajax hasn’t played well since that Cup game against AmaZulu, which was called due to waterlog pitch. Scott admits that that game could’ve had impact on the farm that the team has at the moment.

“I’m not the type to make likes to make excuses but after the 2-1 lead we had and with 15minunts to play, we felt that everything is going well for us then the rain come. I think that game took our boost because we played Saturday and again on Tuesday, then we went to play Free State Stars away from home.”

Scott is still optimistic about a respective position on the come the end of the season.

“There are still few games left and I think it will take one or two games could turn things for us," he says.

A win for Ajax Cape Tow will make sure that the team stays in the top eight going into the weekend game when they will face title contenders Moroka Swallows at home.
