Ertugral: We have stepped up
By Christopher Maqashu
Cape Town- Ajax
Cape Town coach Muhsin Ertugral believes that his players have stepped up to
the challenge on fighting for survival.
Urban Warriors find themselves in the relegation battle and
laying second from bottom with 21 points with nine game to go.
Next Ajax will faces Golden Arrows who has dipped in form lately
which has seen them sitting 13th on the log and just two points
ahead of the Cape side.
A win for Ertugral’s side on Sunday will move them leapfrog
Arrows into 13 place on the log.
Nonetheless the Turkish-born coach utters that even though
his players are showing commitment in training, he would like them to show the
same when facing opponents in competitive games.
“What I can see at the moment they are stepping up another
level and you can see and you can feel it,” Ertugral said.
“But this is training and the game it’s a different story
and they need to put that in the field. We did that in the MDC game (Friendly
with the MDC side) which I was practical happy about it during practices but
yet again we not playing the MDC but we are playing against sides that’s are
under pressure.
"We will see but for me I can see that we have stepped up,”
he concluded.
Ajax Cape Town game against Golden Arrows is schedule for
Sunday afternoon at the Princess Magogo Stadium with kick-off at 15h30.
