Pitso still have hope for Bafana

When Pitso was elected to be the coach of Bafana Bafana a lot was expected from him. He was task to lead South Africa to the next African Cup Of Nations in 2012. That Vision looks to be blink now, Bafana Bafana are in 2nd position behind Niger who are the group leaders. For South Africa to qualify they need to win the game against Sierra Leone and hope that Niger lose or draw against Egypt.


This is massive task for Pitsos' team because the Egyptians with use they U/23 team to play against a strong Niger team who are looking to take part in next years African Cup Of Nations.

But Pitso believes that the team stand good chance of making it to next year show piece.

He had this to say in the press conference  which was held,

“We are strong mentally and I remain confident that we will be ready for Sierra Leone. We know that Niger has first option in qualifying in that if they beat Egypt then they are in, South Africa has the second option while Sierra Leone has the third - in the event that Niger and South Africa don’t make it." 

What if Bafana Bafana don't make it to the African Cup Of Nation next year, where to of our team? this will be the second time that the team wont make in the row. surely this is not good for our football and the national team. Pitso needs to play more competitive games, so that the players can get use to him more and more as we build for the next world cup.
