Nedbank Cup Final Extravangaza

The Nedbank Cup final is set to light up the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday with loads of entertainment both on and off the field of play!

On the field of play, Orlando Pirates will take on the defending champions SuperSport United at the iconic Durban stadium, with kick-off set for 20h15. This is a repeat of last year’s finale in Polokwane where United emerged victorious 3-2. Matsatsantsa are aiming to become the first team to defend the trophy since the Nedbank sponsorship started, while the Buccaneers are looking to give their multitude of fans something to cheer about in their historic 80^th year.

Off the field, there will be festivities galore for those who come in early. The activities will start at 14:00 and will ensure that friends and families have memorable moments beyond the soccer pitch.  Part of entertainment includes the famous Fan Zone, pre-match concert and what is set to be a dazzling opening ceremony.

The fanzone area, is made of an interactive theme park incorporating games, youth soccer clinics and autograph opportunities. The line-up of attractions will also include:

₋         Autograph Booth: If autographs are your thing, come get a signed photo from the celebrities who will be in attendance, including the Nedbank Passion Captains.

The pre-concert, scheduled for 17:00 will include top South African acts such as Anatii, Mobi Dixon and Just Robyn, while the halftime show with the award winning Zakes Bantwini, promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

The opening ceremony will commence at 19:40 and will include a breathtaking array of young dancers – who will celebrate their passion for art, in Nedbank’s tribute to Youth Month.
